Church

For details of services vist the Bettisfield Pilgrim Church FaceBook page.

Our Parish Church dedicated to St John the Baptist has now become a Pilgrim Church.  This has come about because attendance at services was very low and the church comittee felt that it could not continue.  In January 2023 the church was granted Pilgrim Status.

This means that the church has a caretaker and group of friends who ensure that the church is open daily and kept in good condition.  We can still holdup to 6 services a year and our nVicar Fr Jeremy Dussek has given his full support.  There is a Pilgrim church WhatsApp Group and also a Facebook page.

You can also find details about the church on www.bettisfieldchurch.wales and the Sacred Wales website.

The church is available for weddings, baptisms and funerals.  Please contact the vicar in the first instance.

The churchyard at Bettisfield is managed to encourage wildlife but is also close cut in certain areas to maintain a neat appearance.  This all costs money and we rely on donations, legacies and bequests to help supplement a small grant from the Community Council. Volunteer work parties also provide much needed help.  If you have an ancestor in the churchyard please consider helping in any way you can towards its upkeep.
